# Chamberlain code 1-1: the door won’t close because the safety sensors aren’t connected

## The door won’t close because the safety sensors aren’t connected

The opener can’t find its safety sensors, the two small eyes near the floor on each side of the door. A sensor may be unplugged, or its wire may be cut.

**Check this first, then a pro.** Follow the thin wire from each sensor back to the opener and look for a loose end or a cut. If the wire looks fine and the code comes back, call a pro.
