Water dripping off your garage door in winter? It's usually condensation. The door makers' trade group says that's not normally a defect. Warm, humid air in the garage hits the cold door and collects as droplets. A wet or snowy car parked inside is one of the usual sources. The trade group's first tip? Ventilate the garage. Fogging in the door's windows is different. It can mean a failed seal. Have a door technician check that. Springs and cables are always a job for a pro. The full guide is on garagedoorscience dot com.
