Did you know your garage door's insulation might not be doing what you think? R-value measures how well your door resists heat flow. A higher R-value means slower heat transfer. A single-skin steel door has no insulation. Standard polystyrene doors typically fall between R-6 and R-9. Attached or cold? R-10 to 13. Ask the maker for your model's R-value.
