What? Why aren't you closing? I love birds. Oh, hi. Didn't see you there. I'm Riva
at A+ Garage Doors. Today, we're talking about why your garage door might not be closing. The first thing I like to check for if my garage door isn't closing are the eye sensors at the bottom of the garage door. So, if I cover one of them, this light is going to start flashing. One of these lights is the sending unit and the other one is the receiving unit.
If nothing's in the way, but one of them is still flashing, you can make some little adjustments. You can move it up, down, left, right, maybe in or out to get that other one to see its friend. thing I will check is the track. Now, I'm looking for any obstructions. I'm checking our bolts to make sure that everything is nice and smooth here.
Making sure that this track is nice and clear. Sometimes, these tracks here can come out of alignment and will get a little bit of a lip that this roller will catch onto preventing the door from closing. If anything is in the way of this roller of our door going down the track. I Let's say this is shifted and we've got a little bit of lip. If this roller comes down and catches it, it should sense that something's in the way and the motor will pull the door back up. If you keep trying to close that
door though and again and again and again, it keeps trying or you force it through, it's going to push this cable off of the drum and it's going to cause your door to be lopsided. If I have a garage door operator and I've checked out all of the moving mechanical parts, everything is clear, my eye sensors are seeing each other and it's still not closing, there's probably an issue with the travel module in my operator. So, give us a call today. We'll come out, we'll do our 24-point inspection, figure out exactly what's going on with your garage door, and we'll fix it today the A+ way.
